What’s your favorite coffee?
I get asked this question a lot and I see many questions the same on our Jura Coffee Club Facebook group. My answer when someone wants a recommendation is to go and cost a good experienced local roaster. Ask for some samples and find the one that suits you.
What beans are best for filter coffee?
Certain coffee beans will be appropriate depending on the the brewing method you typically use. One type of coffee will taste different depending on how it is brewed. For a good American style filter coffee, a medium roast is often the preference. Whether you are using a drip machine such as one from the Capresso CoffeeTeam range, making a "pour over", or using our Coffee-4-me™ Single Cup Gold Titanium Coffee Filter.
What coffee beans should I use in a Jura machine?
You can have a great Jura Z10 but unless you choose your beans carefully you will not achieve the best results. Choose a dark roast (we recommend a French roast like our Premium Espresso Blend). Set your grinder midway between fine and medium. Too fine and the reults will not be optimum.
What coffee is right for other coffee brewing methods?
If you have a coffee press, stove top espresso Moka Pot, or an Aeropress, you need to have your roaster grind the beans appropriately. If you have your own grinder, preferably a conical burr grinder like our Capresso Infinity Plus, you can nadjust to medium grind for a coffeepress or an Aeropress, or coarse ground for a coffee press.
So what is the best coffee?
The simple answer to the question is that the best coffee is the one that suits your palate. Buy it fresh and stick to it. Keep your beans in an airtight container and don’t grind them until you need them. That’s best.
What's your favorite?
