Zassenhaus was established in Schwelm, Germay in 1877 by its founder Robert Zassenhaus. The first products that were made were grinding mechanisms for lap coffee grinders produced in the foundry he established. After a turbulent period in the 20th century, the Zassenhaus brand was repositioned for the future under new ownership and new headquarters in Solingen, Germany in 2007. This was not before the company's unique and patented ceramic mechanism was developed. We believe these grinders are the best in the world.
