The Shun Premier 5.5" Nakiri is a traditional Japanese vegetable knife designed for fast, precise prep. Its straight blade edge and squared tip make it ideal for chopping, slicing and push cuts on vegetables, fruits and herbs. Unlike a chef’s knife, the Nakiri is built to cut straight down to the board without rocking, allowing clean, even cuts with minimal effort.
Handcrafted in Japan, this compact blade offers excellent control in smaller hands or tighter workspaces. The wide, thin blade glides through produce with ease and also works well for scooping and transferring ingredients from cutting board to pan.
