The Brasilia uses a conical burr mechanism made from specially hardened steel in Germany. Unlike blade grinders that chop beans into irregular pieces, the burrs grind coffee to a controlled consistency. A knurled adjustment screw beneath the crank lets you change the grind continuously, from finer grounds for concentrated brewing methods to coarser textures for French press coffee.
