The Original Moka in Black

Bialetti introduced the Moka Express in 1933, establishing the octagonal stovetop design that has become synonymous with moka coffee. This black version keeps that familiar brewing method and aluminum construction while giving the exterior a more restrained appearance.

Brewing is straightforward: fill the lower chamber with water to below the safety valve, add espresso-ground coffee to the funnel without tamping, assemble the pot, and place it over low to medium heat. As the water heats, brewed coffee rises into the upper chamber in just a few minutes.
