Opinel No.112 Natural Paring Knife
Made-in-France paring knife with a 3.9-inch stainless steel blade and varnished beech handle
The Opinel No.112 Natural Paring Knife is a compact kitchen knife for peeling fruit, trimming vegetables, slicing mushrooms, cutting small ingredients, and cleaning up meat. Its smooth 10 cm stainless steel blade gives you close control for detailed prep, while the varnished beech handle provides the simple, comfortable grip that defines Opinel's classic kitchen knives.
Why Order from Design & Grace
Authorized Opinel retailer: Design & Grace sells genuine Opinel knives backed by the manufacturer's lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
Made in France: The N°112 Natural is manufactured in France by Opinel.
Ships from Texas: Your paring knife is carefully packed and shipped from our Texas facility.
Small-Blade Control for Everyday Prep
The 10 cm blade is short enough for controlled work in the hand or on a cutting board. Use it for peeling apples, trimming mushrooms, slicing garlic, chopping small vegetables, removing blemishes, and making precise cuts where a chef's knife is larger than necessary.
The smooth, non-serrated edge gives you a clean cut and can be sharpened as needed over the life of the knife.
Signature Features
10 cm / 3.9-inch blade: Provides close control for peeling, trimming, chopping, and slicing small ingredients.
Martensitic stainless steel: Opinel specifies 55-57 HRC stainless steel with good corrosion resistance and wear resistance.
Smooth cutting edge: Handles precise slicing and can be resharpened as the edge wears.
Varnished beech handle: Natural beech gives the knife a warm, comfortable grip with a protective varnish against moisture and dirt.
PEFC-certified wood: Opinel sources the beech from sustainably managed forests in France's Jura and Vercors regions.
9.8 cm handle: Keeps the knife compact while giving the hand enough grip for controlled prep.
Made in France: Produced by Opinel in France as part of its classic kitchen knife range.
A Straightforward Knife for Precise Work
The N°112 is built around the jobs that benefit from a short blade rather than extra weight or length. The pointed tip reaches into small ingredients, the straight edge handles clean slices, and the beech handle keeps the knife light and easy to maneuver.
From Our Founder
"A paring knife should be light, sharp, and easy to put exactly where you want it. The No.112 keeps things simple with a short stainless blade and a comfortable beech handle, which is why it works so well for the small prep jobs that come up every day."
