CLEARYL White

Proper Filtration for a Classic Jura

CLEARYL White is installed directly in the water tank and filters the water before each preparation. Jura states that the cartridge protects the machine against calcium deposits, and with an active filter Jura does not require routine descaling. We still suggest an optional descale about once a year, especially in hard water areas.

Because Jura has used several generations of CLEARYL cartridges, the color and filter designation matter. CLEARYL White should be ordered only for a machine that specifically calls for the White cartridge.

Which Jura machines use CLEARYL White 64553?

CLEARYL White 64553 fits the IMPRESSA Z5 and Z6, S7, S7 Avantgarde, S9 Classic, S9 Avantgarde, S9 One Touch, F60 and J5. For any other Jura machine, use the filter finder on our Jura filters page.

Can I replace a Blue or Smart cartridge with CLEARYL White?

Not unless Jura specifies CLEARYL White for your exact machine. Jura's filter systems vary by machine generation.

Does CLEARYL White filter the water for every coffee?

Yes. The cartridge sits in the water tank and filters water before each preparation.

Do I still need to descale my machine when using CLEARYL White?

When an activated CLEARYL filter is in use, your Jura will not prompt you to descale, and Jura's position is that routine descaling is not required. At Design & Grace, we still suggest a descale about once a year, especially in hard water areas. This is optional maintenance, not a Jura requirement. If the filter is not active or the machine asks you to descale, follow the descaling program in your machine's instructions.

Is CLEARYL White an aftermarket filter?

No. Article 64553 is an original Jura maintenance product.
