Wüsthof PARTNER 8" Bread Knife

Controlled Slicing Without Crushing

The 8-inch blade gives you enough length to work through sandwich loaves, sourdough, baguettes, cakes, and pastries in smooth strokes. Its fine serrations grip firm crusts and skins while reducing pressure on softer interiors.

The blade also handles larger produce with resistant skins, including squash. Its 1.77-inch width and balanced forged construction provide more control than a thin stamped bread knife.

Wüsthof PARTNER 8" Bread Knife

A Forged Bread Knife for Regular Use

Most bread knives are light stamped tools. The PARTNER brings forged construction, a half bolster, and a full tang to a blade used for more than bread. It has the balance for regular countertop use and the versatility to move from morning loaves to cakes, pastries, and larger produce.

From Our Founder

"A bread knife needs to grip the crust without flattening everything underneath it. The forged construction gives this one noticeably better balance, especially when you are cutting dense loaves or larger produce."

Questions answered

Frequently asked questions

What is the WÜSTHOF PARTNER 8" Bread Knife best used for?

The fine serrated edge is designed for crusty sourdough, sandwich loaves, baguettes, rolls, cakes, and pastries. It cuts through firm exteriors with reduced downward pressure, helping protect softer interiors from compression.

How does this bread knife differ from a double-serrated WÜSTHOF Bread Knife?

The PARTNER uses a fine serrated edge, while WÜSTHOF's double-serrated knives have smaller serrations within larger teeth. Both handle crusty and soft bread, but the double-serrated design provides additional cutting points for firm crusts.

Can the PARTNER Bread Knife cut vegetables and fruit?

Yes. Its serrated edge is useful for larger produce with firm skins or resistant exteriors, including butternut squash and some melons. Use controlled strokes and a stable cutting board rather than forcing the blade through very hard ingredients.

Can this bread knife be sharpened?

Yes, but its serrated edge requires sharpening equipment and techniques suited to serrations. A sharpening service experienced with serrated knives is a suitable choice. Hand wash and towel-dry the knife after use.
