Alessi Anna G Polished Corkscrew by Alessandro Mendini
Chrome-plated zamak corkscrew with Alessandro Mendini's iconic Anna G. design
The Alessi Anna G. Polished Corkscrew turns opening a bottle into a simple mechanical ritual. Designed by Alessandro Mendini, the familiar smiling figure uses raised arms and a rotating head to drive the screw into the cork, combining an effective wing-style mechanism with one of Alessi's most recognizable forms.
Why Order from Design & Grace
Authorized Alessi retailer: Design & Grace is an authorized Alessi retailer, so you receive a genuine Anna G. with Alessi's 24-month manufacturer warranty against manufacturing defects.
Ships from Texas: Your Alessi order is carefully packed and shipped from our Texas facility.
An established Alessi design: Anna G. has been part of the Alessi collection since the 1990s and remains one of Alessandro Mendini's best-known objects for the table and bar.
A Corkscrew with a Recognizable Character
Mendini designed Anna G. as an anthropomorphic corkscrew, giving the familiar mechanics of a winged opener the posture and expression of a small figure. As the head turns, the arms rise, then lower to extract the cork in one controlled motion.
This polished version replaces the colored resin body found on other Anna G. models with chrome-plated zamak throughout, giving the design a more architectural, reflective appearance.
Signature Features
Wing-style corkscrew mechanism: Turning the head drives the screw into the cork while raising the arms for controlled extraction.
Chrome-plated zamak construction: Gives this version a substantial all-metal body with a bright polished finish.
9.65-inch height: The elongated proportions make Anna G. easy to operate and visually distinctive on a bar or serving cart.
Alessandro Mendini design: The smiling figure is one of the most recognizable characters in the Alessi collection.
Long-running design: Anna G. was first introduced in 1994, with this chrome-plated zamak version entering production in 2003.
From Our Founder
"Anna G. is one of those Alessi pieces where the mechanism and the personality are inseparable. The polished version feels especially substantial in the hand, and the simple motion of the arms makes opening a bottle part of the design."
Tony Boulton, Founder, Design & Grace
