Alessi Alba Truffle Slicer
18/10 stainless steel truffle slicer designed by Ben van Berkel / UNStudio
The Alessi Alba Truffle Slicer gives one of the kitchen's most specialized ingredients a tool designed with equal care. Its broad stainless steel body provides a secure platform for slicing fresh truffles into thin, controlled shavings directly over pasta, risotto, eggs, or finished plates.
Why Order from Design & Grace
Authorized Alessi retailer: Design & Grace is an authorized Alessi retailer, so you receive a genuine Alba with Alessi's 24-month manufacturer warranty against manufacturing defects.
Ships from Texas: Your Alessi order is carefully packed and shipped from our Texas facility.
A purpose-built serving tool: Alba is not simply another small slicer. Its proportions and blade are designed specifically for preparing and serving fresh truffles at the table or in the kitchen.
Designed Around the Ritual of Truffles
Ben van Berkel and UNStudio created Alba as a dedicated tool for serving and tasting truffles, an ingredient closely associated with Italy's Piedmont region. The generous stainless steel form gives the slicer visual presence on the table while keeping its function straightforward.
At 7.88 inches long and 3.35 inches wide, Alba provides enough surface area to hold comfortably while producing delicate slices for finishing a dish immediately before serving.
Signature Features
Dedicated truffle blade: Designed to produce fine slices of fresh truffle for controlled finishing and serving.
18/10 stainless steel: Gives the slicer a durable, substantial construction suited to repeated use.
Broad working surface: The 3.35-inch width provides a stable platform while slicing small, irregularly shaped truffles.
Architectural design: Ben van Berkel / UNStudio gives a highly specialized kitchen tool the considered form expected from Alessi.
Designed in 2017: Alba is part of Alessi's continuing exploration of functional objects shaped through contemporary architecture and industrial design.
From Our Founder
"A fresh truffle deserves a proper slicer because thickness matters. Alba does that job with the kind of substantial stainless steel form that makes a specialized tool feel worth keeping rather than putting away after one dinner."
Tony Boulton, Founder, Design & Grace
