From Our Founder
"The flat edge is what makes this little knife useful. It sits cleanly on the board for garlic, herbs, and other small ingredients where a curved edge can leave part of the cut unfinished."
Tony Boulton, Founder, Design & Grace

Questions answered
Its completely flat cutting edge is designed for precise work on a cutting board. It is particularly useful for slicing garlic, shallots, berries, herbs, and small vegetables, where consistent blade contact helps complete each cut cleanly.
The Flat Cut Paring Knife has a straight cutting edge that meets the board along its length. A conventional pointed paring knife is better suited to peeling, trimming, and detailed work in the hand. The flat-cut version is particularly useful for small ingredients prepared directly on a cutting board.
Yes. Its short, flat edge is useful for cutting small quantities of herbs with controlled downward strokes. For substantial bunches or repetitive mincing, a chef's knife or Santoku provides more cutting length.
The CLASSIC IKON handle has a more contoured shape designed to fit naturally in the hand. Its distinctive bolster construction also contributes to a different balance and grip compared with the traditional straight-sided CLASSIC handle.
