Alessi Sfrido Peeler
Mirror-polished 18/10 stainless steel peeler designed by Valerio Sommella
The Alessi Sfrido Peeler gives a basic prep tool the weight and sculptural finish of a small design object. Valerio Sommella shaped its compact stainless steel body to sit naturally in the hand, creating a peeler that works for everyday fruit and vegetable prep without looking like conventional kitchen hardware.

A Peeler Treated Like a Small Object
Sfrido belongs to Alessi's Objets-Bijoux collection, a group of compact household tools developed with particular attention to metalworking, form, and tactile use. Rather than adding a separate handle to a conventional blade, Sommella shapes the peeler as one continuous polished object.
Signature Features
18/10 stainless steel: The complete peeler is made from durable stainless steel for a substantial feel in the hand.
Mirror-polished finish: Gives Sfrido the bright reflective surface associated with Alessi's polished metal objects.
Compact ergonomic form: Measures just 2.56 inches long, allowing the body to sit directly in the palm during peeling.
Objet-Bijoux design: Treats a small everyday kitchen tool with the same attention to form and finish as a decorative object.
Designed by Valerio Sommella: Part of Sommella's collection of refined compact tools for Alessi.
From Our Founder
"Sfrido feels very different from a standard handled peeler. It sits directly in your hand, and the polished steel gives such a simple kitchen tool a surprising amount of presence."
Tony Boulton, Founder, Design & Grace
