Designed Around the Twist
Vite grew from Malouin's Scrapyard Works process, which begins with recovered industrial forms and metal fragments. The screw became the central reference: the natural aluminum boiler makes the threaded shape visible, while the green upper section brings in a color sampled from machinery and tools in the Alessi workshop.
Signature Features
Three-cup capacity: Holds 15 cl, or approximately 5.1 fluid ounces, for concentrated stovetop coffee.
Cast aluminum construction: The moka body uses cast aluminum, keeping the material central to both the brewing method and the industrial form.
Induction-ready base: A magnetic steel bottom makes Vite suitable for induction as well as conventional cooktops.
Screw-inspired form: The ribbed boiler references a screw, or vite in Italian, and the twisting motion used to assemble the coffee maker.
Green thermoplastic details: The handle and knob match the green upper section, with the color drawn from machinery and tools in the Alessi workshop.
