HORL at Design & Grace
The HORL Magnifier gives you a close view of the knife edge so you can see what is happening during sharpening instead of judging progress only by feel. Its 3.5x magnification makes the grinding pattern visible and helps you check whether a burr remains or the edge has reached the finish you want.
Why buy here
Every accessory we sell is genuine HORL equipment.
Carefully packed and shipped from our Texas facility.
Our team can help you work out which accessories suit your HORL setup.
HORL 3 Magnifier
This is especially useful when establishing a new angle or working through HORL’s finer whetstone stages, where changes to the bevel become increasingly subtle. The magnifier does not change the sharpening process. It simply gives you a better way to inspect the result.
HORL 3 Magnifier
Made in the Black Forest, the compact HORL Magnifier uses a real glass lens in a chrome-plated brass body, giving it the weight and permanence expected from the rest of the HORL sharpening system.
What stands out
Makes the grinding pattern and any remaining burr easy to see.
A clear view of the edge.
A compact, substantial body.
Produced in Germany.
Works with any knife, whichever HORL or sharpening method you use.

From Our Founder
“Once you can actually see the edge, everything clicks. The magnifier gives you real feedback, and that’s what helps you sharpen better over time.”
