Alessi Minou Purse Hook

Alessi Minou Purse Hook

Mirror-polished 18/10 stainless steel purse hook in a cat-inspired form by Frédéric Gooris

The Alessi Minou Purse Hook gives your bag a dedicated place at the table without putting it on the floor. Designed by Frédéric Gooris, the mirror-polished stainless steel form resembles a cat, with its long tail extending into the hook that supports your bag from the edge of a table.

Why Order from Design & Grace

Authorized Alessi retailer: Design & Grace is an authorized Alessi retailer, so you receive a genuine Minou with Alessi's 24-month manufacturer warranty against product defects.

Small enough to carry: Minou is compact enough to keep in a handbag, making it useful at restaurants, cafés, meetings, or anywhere you want to keep a bag off the floor.

A Cat with a Practical Tail

Frédéric Gooris designed Minou around a simple visual idea: the cat's body rests at the table edge while its long curved tail becomes the actual purse hook. The result gives the function an immediate, recognizable character without adding unnecessary parts.

The mirror-polished stainless steel construction also gives Minou enough weight and durability to feel like a proper accessory rather than a disposable travel gadget.

Signature Features

Table-mounted purse hook: Hangs a compatible bag from the edge of a table so it stays off the floor and within reach.

18/10 stainless steel: Gives Minou durable all-metal construction with a refined tabletop finish.

Mirror-polished surface: Creates a bright reflective appearance that suits both casual and more formal settings.

Cat-inspired form: The curved tail doubles as the functional hook, turning a small travel accessory into a recognizable Alessi object.

Compact proportions: Measures 4.17 inches long and 2.36 inches wide, making it easy to carry in a handbag or travel pouch.

Frédéric Gooris design: Minou belongs to Alessi's Objets-Bijoux family of small functional objects given unusually careful metalwork and form.

Introduced in 2010: Minou has been part of the Alessi collection since 2010.

From Our Founder

"Minou is a very small object that solves a genuinely useful problem. The cat form gives it personality, but the real reason to keep it in your bag is that it gives your purse a clean, convenient place at the table."
