A Ceramic Bread Oven for Round Loaves

The Bread Cloche recreates the conditions of a traditional bread oven inside a conventional oven. Moisture released by the dough is trapped beneath the domed lid during the early part of the bake, helping the loaf expand before the crust sets.

The unglazed interior of the dome helps regulate humidity, while the ridged ceramic base encourages airflow beneath the loaf for a crisper bottom crust. It accommodates bread recipes using approximately 3.5 to 4 cups of flour and is well suited to sourdough, country bread, seeded loaves, and other round artisan recipes.
