Two Fixed Angles, Held Firmly
The magnetic angle support holds the blade at either 15° or 20° while the sharpener rolls along the cutting edge. Use 15° for fine, hard blades such as high-quality carbon and Damascus steel, or 20° for a more robust edge on European chef’s knives, outdoor knives, and pocket knives.
The HORL Grip Pad gives the magnetic support up to 70% more grip than the HORL 2 generation, improving hold even with smaller blades.

Diamond Grinding and Stainless Steel Honing
A standard diamond grinding disc establishes the edge and works with knives across hardness grades. HORL’s block diamond surface removes up to 80% more steel than the HORL 2 version, helping the Cruise reach the desired edge more efficiently. The permanently fitted stainless steel honing disc then smooths the edge and removes grinding residue through its integrated grooves.

How the Cruise Differs from the HORL 3
Unlike the HORL 3 and HORL 3 Pro, the Cruise does not use HORL Quick Lock or interchangeable grinding discs. It is the streamlined choice for cooks who want the core HORL sharpening method without building out a larger sharpening system.

Use & Care
Choose the 15° or 20° side of the magnetic angle support according to the knife and desired edge geometry.
Place the knife against the HORL Grip Pad with the cutting edge exposed.
Use the Standard Diamond disc first to establish or refresh the bevel.
Roll the sharpener evenly along the full cutting edge from heel to tip.
Work both sides of the blade until the edge is consistent.
Turn the sharpener around and use the stainless steel honing disc to smooth the edge and remove grinding residue.
Use controlled pressure rather than pressing heavily against the blade.
Wipe the sharpener and magnetic support clean as needed and keep them dry.
Do not place the sharpener or magnetic angle support in the dishwasher.
The Cruise uses permanently fitted discs and does not accept HORL Quick Lock accessories.
