Shape Pasta by Hand

The ridged wooden surface gives gnocchi and cavatelli the grooves that hold sauce while creating the familiar handmade appearance of traditional pasta. Marcato designs the board with an ergonomic handle and pronounced ridges, so light pressure is enough to texture the dough.

For garganelli, wrap a small pasta square around the included wooden rod and roll it across the board. The ridges are transferred to the outside while the rod forms the pasta into its characteristic tube shape.
