The deep-black blade treatment creates a hard, durable surface designed to reduce friction and resist heat, scratches, and damage.
The textured handle provides a secure, non-slip grip during long slicing strokes.
Adds weight and balance between the blade and handle.
Made using WÜSTHOF's forged production method for strength and stable handling.

From Our Founder
"A bread knife should let the serrations do the work. This one needs very little pressure, and the textured handle stays secure when you are working through a large, hard-crusted loaf."
Tony Boulton, Founder, Design & Grace

Questions answered
Its precision double-serrated edge places smaller serrations within larger teeth, creating additional cutting points. This helps the blade grip hard crusts and move through soft interiors with less downward pressure than a conventional single-serrated edge.
Yes. The double-serrated edge handles firm crusts and delicate interiors, while the 9-inch blade provides reach for broad artisan loaves, baguettes, sandwich bread, and rolls. Use gentle sawing strokes to avoid compressing soft bread.
The DLC treatment creates a hard, low-friction blade surface designed to resist scratches, heat, and wear. Combined with the double-serrated cutting edge, it helps the knife move smoothly through bread and other foods with resistant exteriors.
Yes. Its serrated edge also cuts layered cakes, pies, pastries, and firm-skinned produce such as tomatoes. It is particularly useful when a food has a resistant exterior and a softer interior that could compress under excessive pressure.
