Alessi Moka Espresso Maker by David Chipperfield
Cast aluminum stovetop espresso maker with an eleven-sided body, anti-drip spout, and flat warming lid
The Alessi Moka Espresso Maker gives the familiar stovetop coffee pot a precise architectural update from David Chipperfield. Its cast aluminum body keeps the traditional brewing method intact while an eleven-sided profile, anti-drip spout, broad handle, and flat lid make this version distinctly Alessi and noticeably considered in daily use.

A Familiar Moka, Reworked by David Chipperfield
Introduced in 2019, Chipperfield's Moka was designed as a reinterpretation of one of Italian coffee culture's most familiar objects. The faceted body preserves the recognizable stovetop format while sharpening its proportions and improving the details you handle every morning.
The flat lid can be used to warm a small cup before serving, while the shaped spout is designed to pour more cleanly. A generous PA handle and lid knob stay visually simple and provide a practical grip during brewing and serving.
Signature Features
Eleven-sided cast aluminum body: Gives the Moka its architectural profile while retaining the traditional lightweight construction associated with stovetop espresso makers.
Anti-drip spout: Shaped to improve pouring and help keep coffee from running down the side of the pot.
Flat warming lid: Provides a stable surface for warming an espresso cup using heat from the brewing coffee below.
PA handle and knob: Large, practical components make the Moka easier to grip and handle during everyday use.
Multiple sizes: Available in 1-cup, 3-cup, and 6-cup versions so you can match the brewer to your usual coffee routine.
David Chipperfield design: Introduced in 2019 as a restrained reinterpretation of the traditional Italian moka pot.
From Our Founder
"Chipperfield kept the part of the moka pot that matters and improved the details around it. The flat lid, clean spout, and faceted body make this feel more deliberate without changing the simple ritual of stovetop coffee."
