Alessi Moka Espresso Maker by David Chipperfield - Black
Black cast aluminum stovetop espresso maker with an eleven-sided body, anti-drip spout, and David Chipperfield design
The Alessi Moka Espresso Maker in Black gives David Chipperfield's architectural interpretation of the classic moka pot a more sculptural, monochromatic finish. Its cast aluminum body retains the familiar stovetop brewing method while an eleven-sided profile, anti-drip spout, broad handle, and practical lid details make this version distinctly Alessi.

Moka in a Full Black Finish
David Chipperfield originally redesigned the familiar stovetop moka pot for Alessi with a focus on improving the details without losing the simplicity of the original form. The black version, introduced in 2023, gives that same eleven-sided body and practical geometry a deeper, more unified appearance.
The shaped spout is designed to pour more cleanly, while the broad PA handle and lid knob provide a comfortable grip during brewing and serving. Available in 1-cup, 3-cup, and 6-cup sizes, the collection lets you match the brewer to your usual coffee routine.
Signature Features
Full black finish: Gives Chipperfield's faceted moka design a more sculptural and monochromatic appearance.
Eleven-sided cast aluminum body: Creates the architectural profile that distinguishes this Moka from conventional stovetop espresso makers.
Anti-drip spout: Shaped to improve pouring and help keep coffee from running down the side of the pot.
Black PA handle and knob: Keep the design visually unified while providing practical grip points during use.
Multiple sizes: Available in 1-cup, 3-cup, and 6-cup versions to suit different serving needs.
David Chipperfield design: The original Moka design debuted in 2019, with the full black version introduced in 2023.
From Our Founder
"The black Moka is the version I would choose when you want Chipperfield's shape to read more like a single sculptural object. The faceted body, handle, and lid all feel more unified in this finish."
Tony Boulton, Founder, Design & Grace
