Alessi Chip Magnetic Paper Clip Holder
Chrome-plated zamak magnetic paper clip holder designed by Rodrigo Torres
The Alessi Chip Magnetic Paper Clip Holder keeps loose paper clips gathered around a sculptural chrome-plated form instead of scattered across the desk. Designed by Rodrigo Torres, its concealed magnetic function turns an ordinary office supply into part of the object, with the clips attaching directly to the polished surface for quick access.
Why Order from Design & Grace
Authorized Alessi retailer: Design & Grace is an authorized Alessi retailer, so you receive a genuine Chip with Alessi's 24-month manufacturer warranty against product defects.
Ships from Texas: Your Alessi order is carefully packed and shipped from our Texas facility.
Useful enough to stay on the desk: Chip keeps paper clips visible and within reach while replacing a conventional cup or plastic organizer with a compact metal object.
A Magnet Hidden Inside the Form
Chip uses an internal magnet to hold paper clips against its chrome-plated body. As clips collect on the surface, they become part of the appearance of the object rather than something hidden in a drawer.
Rodrigo Torres gives the holder a stylized bird-like profile, keeping the form playful without compromising its function as a compact desktop organizer.
Signature Features
Magnetic paper clip storage: Keeps compatible metal paper clips attached directly to the holder for fast access at a desk or workspace.
Chrome-plated zamak: Gives Chip a substantial metal body with a bright, highly reflective surface.
Compact footprint: At 3.74 inches in diameter, Chip organizes small office supplies without taking over valuable desk space.
4.14-inch height: Gives the holder enough presence to work as a small desk object while remaining easy to position beside a notebook, monitor, or pen tray.
Rodrigo Torres design: The functional office accessory is shaped with the wit and detailed metalwork associated with Alessi's Objets-Bijoux collection.
Objets-Bijoux collection: Chip belongs to Alessi's family of small functional objects treated with the attention normally given to decorative accessories.
From Our Founder
"Chip is a good desk object because the paper clips actually complete the design. Instead of hiding them in a drawer, the magnet keeps them where you can reach them, and the polished metal gives the whole thing enough presence to leave out."
Tony Boulton, Founder, Design & Grace
