Alessi Mongolfiera Reale Home Ornament
Hand-decorated porcelain hot-air-balloon ornament designed by Marcello Jori
The Alessi Mongolfiera Reale Home Ornament turns a miniature hot-air balloon into one of Marcello Jori's story-driven Fleurs de Jorì decorations. Hand-decorated porcelain, jewel-like red details, and the suspended balloon form give it enough presence for a holiday tree while remaining small enough to display year-round.
Why Order from Design & Grace
Authorized Alessi retailer: Design & Grace is an authorized Alessi retailer, so you receive a genuine Mongolfiera Reale with Alessi's 24-month manufacturer warranty against product defects.
Ships from Texas: Your Alessi ornament is carefully packed and shipped from our Texas facility.
A collectible Alessi decoration: Mongolfiera Reale belongs to Marcello Jori's Fleurs de Jorì family, a collection built around miniature characters, stories, and decorative objects designed for hanging display.
A Balloon with a Story
Marcello Jori imagines Mongolfiera Reale as the balloon of a fourth wise man who arrived too late to deliver his rubies to the Holy Child. The red jewel-like details remain on the balloon, turning the fictional story into the ornament's defining visual element.
The result is typical of Fleurs de Jorì: decorative at first glance, but built around a specific narrative that gives the object more character than a conventional seasonal ornament.
Signature Features
Hand-decorated porcelain: The ornament is finished by hand, giving the miniature balloon the detailed surface treatment central to the Fleurs de Jorì collection.
Hot-air-balloon form: The suspended silhouette gives Mongolfiera Reale a distinctive profile whether displayed on a tree, branch, hook, or ornament stand.
Marcello Jori design: Jori combines decorative imagery with an invented story, turning a small ornament into a collectible narrative object.
Compact proportions: At 4.92 inches high and 2.84 inches in diameter, it has enough detail to stand out without overwhelming a display.
Fleurs de Jorì collection: Part of Alessi's family of porcelain ornaments based on characters, literary allusions, and Jori's imaginative stories.
Introduced in 2017: Mongolfiera Reale has been part of the Alessi collection since 2017.
From Our Founder
"What makes Mongolfiera Reale interesting is that the decoration is tied to a story. The little balloon is detailed enough to notice from across the room, but when you look closer, the red jewels and Jori's imagined fourth wise man give it another layer."
