Alessi Toru Electric Citrus Squeezer
Electric citrus squeezer in 18/10 stainless steel and black thermoplastic resin, designed by Nendo
The Alessi Toru Electric Citrus Squeezer gives fresh citrus preparation a precise stainless steel form with a clear functional idea. Designed by Nendo, it combines a brushed-metal presence with a black tube-like element that passes through the transparent lid, forms the handles, and continues through the body as the pouring spout.
Why Order from Design & Grace
Authorized Alessi retailer: Design & Grace is an authorized Alessi retailer, so you receive a genuine Toru with Alessi's 24-month manufacturer warranty against product defects.
Ships from Texas: Your Alessi order is carefully packed and shipped from our Texas facility.
Designed for everyday citrus: Toru gives you an electric way to prepare fresh juice while keeping the appliance compact enough to live comfortably on the counter.
The Toru Idea in Stainless Steel
In Japanese, "toru" means "through," and Nendo builds the collection around that idea. On the citrus squeezer, a black tubular element appears to pass directly through the transparent lid and stainless steel body, becoming both handles and the pouring spout.
The result is visually simple but technically demanding to produce. Toru keeps the functional parts easy to understand while giving the appliance a strong architectural identity within Alessi's stainless steel collection.
Signature Features
Electric citrus squeezing: Provides powered assistance for preparing fresh citrus juice without the repetitive pressure required by a manual reamer.
18/10 stainless steel body: Gives the appliance a substantial metal construction and a clean contemporary surface.
Black thermoplastic details: The dark tubular element forms a visual and functional connection between the handles and pouring spout.
Transparent lid: Protects the working area when the squeezer is not in use while preserving the light, open character of the design.
Compact proportions: At 8.86 inches wide and 7.68 inches long, Toru keeps its footprint manageable on a kitchen counter.
Nendo design: The appliance belongs to the Toru family of stainless steel objects designed around the visual idea of elements passing through one another.
US plug: This version is configured specifically for use in the United States.
Introduced in 2024: Toru expands Alessi's electrical appliance collection with a stainless steel citrus squeezer distinct from the thermoplastic Plissé line.
From Our Founder
"Toru feels different from most electric citrus squeezers because the design is carried through every part of the object. The black tube is not just decoration. It becomes the handles and the spout, which is exactly the kind of detail that makes Nendo's work so satisfying to use."
