The Ascent X5 has ten automatic blending programs: Smoothies, Frozen Desserts, Soups, Frozen Cocktails, Dips & Spreads, Smoothie Bowl, Frappé, Nut Butters, Non-Dairy Milks, and Spice Grinding. Each program manages blending speed and time, then stops automatically. A separate Self-Cleaning program handles routine container cleaning.
For recipes that need a particular texture, variable-speed control lets you adjust the blend manually. The digital timer helps you track processing time, while the Add 15 Seconds button extends an automatic program when a mixture needs a little longer.

Always operate with the container, lid, and lid plug properly installed.
Begin hot-liquid recipes at Variable Speed 1 and keep hands away from the lid opening.
Do not fill the container above its maximum-capacity line.
Use the included tamper only through the lid-plug opening while the lid is secured.
For automatic cleaning, add warm water and a drop of dish soap, then run the Self-Cleaning program.
Unplug the motor base before wiping it clean.
Never immerse the motor base, power cord, or plug in water.
