Alessi Grind Pepper, Salt & Spice Mill - Aluminum
Cast aluminum salt, pepper, and spice mill designed by William Alsop and Federico Grazzini
The Alessi Grind Pepper, Salt & Spice Mill in Aluminum gives freshly ground seasoning a sculptural place at the table. Its vertically ribbed cast-aluminum body provides a substantial grip for twisting, while the metallic finish keeps the form clean enough to move easily from kitchen prep to finished table service.
Why Order from Design & Grace
Authorized Alessi retailer: Design & Grace is an authorized Alessi retailer, so you receive a genuine Grind mill with Alessi's 24-month manufacturer warranty against product defects.
Ships from Texas: Your Alessi order is carefully packed and shipped from our Texas facility.
Made for kitchen and table: Grind works with salt, pepper, and suitable dry spices, giving you one mill for everyday seasoning without looking purely utilitarian.
A Mill Built Around the Twist
The deep vertical fluting gives Grind its recognizable appearance while also creating a tactile surface that is easy to hold. The top and lower body turn against one another, making the grinding action feel naturally connected to the form.
The aluminum version keeps the material visually direct, with no added color interrupting the ridged geometry of the mill.
Signature Features
Salt, pepper, and spice mill: Designed for freshly grinding suitable dry seasonings at the stove or table.
Cast aluminum body: Gives Grind a substantial metal construction with a clean industrial surface.
Vertically ribbed exterior: Provides both the defining visual detail and a secure surface for twisting the mill.
Compact tabletop size: At 5.59 inches high and 2.95 inches in diameter, Grind is easy to keep within reach without taking over the table.
William Alsop and Federico Grazzini design: The mill combines expressive form with a direct everyday function.
Introduced in 2017: Grind has been part of the Alessi collection since 2017.
From Our Founder
"Grind feels especially good in aluminum because the material and the shape are doing the same job. The ribs give you something solid to hold, and they also make the mill distinctive enough to leave on the table."
Tony Boulton, Founder, Design & Grace
