Alessi Kitchen Timer by Michael Graves - Blue
Mechanical kitchen timer in light blue thermoplastic resin, designed by Michael Graves
The Alessi Kitchen Timer by Michael Graves in Blue gives everyday timing a clear mechanical function wrapped in the same playful geometry that defines his best-known Alessi designs. The light blue thermoplastic body, chrome-colored band, red top knob, and wing-like side details make it easy to spot on the counter, while the mechanical movement keeps operation straightforward.
Why Order from Design & Grace

Ships from Texas: Your Alessi order is carefully packed and shipped from our Texas facility.
A practical Graves design: The timer carries the same mix of color, geometry, and visual humor found throughout Michael Graves' Alessi collection, but in a compact tool meant for daily kitchen use.
A Mechanical Timer with Graves Character
Michael Graves developed a visual language for Alessi that combined architectural shapes with strong color and approachable details. The A09 applies that language to a small mechanical timer, giving the object enough personality to leave on the counter instead of hiding it in a drawer.
The light blue body and red top knob create the strongest visual contrast, while the broad circular form keeps the timing scale easy to read during cooking and baking.
Signature Features
Mechanical movement: Operates without batteries, keeping the timer simple and ready for everyday use.
Light blue thermoplastic body: Gives the timer its recognizable Graves color palette and lightweight construction.
Compact circular form: At 4.14 inches in diameter, the timer is easy to place on a counter, shelf, or prep station.
3.54-inch height: Gives the timer enough presence to read easily without taking up unnecessary space.
Michael Graves design: The timer reflects the designer's mix of postmodern geometry, American pop influence, and colored detail.
In production since 1992: The A09 has remained part of the Alessi collection for more than three decades.
From Our Founder
"This is one of those Michael Graves pieces that makes a very ordinary kitchen task more enjoyable without making it more complicated. The blue body and red knob are unmistakably Graves, and the mechanical movement keeps the whole thing simple."
