Alessi Mediterraneo Fruit Holder
Italian-made 18/10 stainless steel fruit holder inspired by coral, designed by Emma Silvestris
The Alessi Mediterraneo Fruit Holder gives everyday fruit storage the light, branching form that made the collection recognizable. Designed by Emma Silvestris, its open 18/10 stainless steel structure is inspired by Mediterranean coral, creating a bowl that feels airy on the table while still giving fruit a defined place to rest.
Why Order from Design & Grace
Authorized Alessi retailer: Design & Grace is an authorized Alessi retailer, so you receive a genuine Mediterraneo fruit holder with Alessi's 24-month manufacturer warranty against product defects.

A lasting Alessi design: Mediterraneo has remained in production since 2005, giving you a fruit holder that functions as well as it serves as a centerpiece.
Coral Translated into Steel
Emma Silvestris developed Mediterraneo from the imagery of underwater coral, translating its branching, organic structure into cut stainless steel. The result feels visually light despite being made from metal, with open spaces that let the fruit remain visible from every angle.
At 8.27 inches in diameter, this is the most compact stainless steel size in the Mediterraneo fruit holder family, making it well suited to smaller tables, islands, or countertop displays.
Signature Features
18/10 stainless steel: Gives the fruit holder durable construction with the clean metal finish associated with Alessi tableware.
Coral-inspired structure: The branching cutout design creates the distinctive visual identity of the Mediterraneo collection.
Compact 8 1/4-inch size: Offers the full Mediterraneo form in a smaller footprint that works easily on a dining table or kitchen counter.
Open construction: Keeps fruit visible and gives the bowl a lighter appearance than a solid-sided vessel.
Emma Silvestris design: The fruit holder emerged from Alessi's Lightness of Steel design workshop and became the starting point for the wider Mediterraneo family.
Made in Italy: The stainless steel Mediterraneo fruit holder is produced in Italy.
From Our Founder
"Mediterraneo is one of those Alessi pieces that works equally well empty or full. The open coral pattern gives fruit a strong setting without making the bowl feel heavy, and this smaller size is especially easy to place on a breakfast table or kitchen island."
Tony Boulton, Founder, Design & Grace
