Alessi Piccantino Chili Scruncher
Red silicone chili scruncher with mirror-polished 18/10 stainless steel detail, designed by Jim Hannon-Tan and LPWK
The Alessi Piccantino Chili Scruncher gives dried chili a compact, dedicated tool at the table or stove. Its flexible red silicone body is shaped like a chili pepper, while the polished stainless steel top adds the finish and weight that make the piece feel unmistakably Alessi.
Why Order from Design & Grace
Authorized Alessi retailer: Design & Grace is an authorized Alessi retailer, so you receive a genuine Piccantino with Alessi's 24-month manufacturer warranty against product defects.
Ships from Texas: Your Alessi order is carefully packed and shipped from our Texas facility.
Made for seasoning at the table: Piccantino keeps dried chili close at hand in a form compact enough to sit beside salt, pepper, and other condiments.
A Chili-Shaped Tool for Chili
Jim Hannon-Tan and LPWK give Piccantino a form that immediately explains what it is for. The red silicone body echoes the shape and color of a chili pepper, while the polished stainless steel top gives the object a clean visual contrast.
At just 3.54 inches high, Piccantino takes up very little space and works as both a seasoning tool and a small tabletop object.
Signature Features
Flexible silicone body: The red silicone construction gives Piccantino its tactile, chili-inspired form.
18/10 stainless steel detail: Mirror-polished stainless steel adds a bright metal accent to the top of the piece.
Compact size: At 3.54 inches high and 1.18 inches in diameter, Piccantino is easy to keep near the stove or on the table.
Jim Hannon-Tan and LPWK design: The piece turns a very specific seasoning task into a playful but functional tabletop object.
Red finish: The color reinforces the chili-pepper reference without adding unnecessary decoration.
From Our Founder
"Piccantino is one of those small Alessi pieces where the form tells you immediately what it is about. The red silicone body is playful, but the polished steel keeps it feeling like a proper tabletop accessory rather than a novelty."
Tony Boulton, Founder, Design & Grace
