Why Order from Design & Grace
Authorized Alessi retailer: Design & Grace is an authorized Alessi retailer, so your toaster is genuine and covered by Alessi's 24-month warranty against product defects.
Ships from Texas: Your Alessi appliance is carefully packed and shipped from our Texas facility.
Real customer support: Our team can help with setup, care, and coordinating other pieces from the Plissé appliance collection.
Designed to Stay on the Counter
Plissé takes its name from the pleated surface that wraps the toaster body. De Lucchi uses those folds to give a familiar countertop appliance a more architectural profile while keeping the controls simple enough for daily use.
Choose from six browning levels, toast bread straight from the freezer with the defrost function, warm previously toasted slices with reheat, or use the dedicated bagel setting. A removable crumb tray makes routine cleanup easier.
Signature Features
Six browning levels: Lets you adjust toast from lightly colored to a deeper, crisper finish.
Defrost function: Handles frozen bread without requiring a separate thawing step.
Reheat function: Warms previously toasted bread without running a full new toast cycle.
Bagel setting: Provides a dedicated setting for bagels and similar sliced breads.
Removable crumb tray: Pulls out for easier cleaning beneath the toasting slots.
Thermoplastic resin body: Creates the deep pleated exterior that defines the Plissé collection.
US configuration: The MDL08B/USA version is made specifically with a US plug and 850W power rating.
Michele De Lucchi design: Part of Alessi's coordinated Plissé collection of small kitchen appliances.
From Our Founder
"The black Plissé is easy to live with because the controls stay simple while the shape gives the toaster a reason to remain on the counter. It looks considered without making breakfast more complicated."
Tony Boulton, Founder, Design & Grace
