The HORL 3 Kagami Ultra Fine Disc is the final refinement stage in the HORL 3 sharpening system, developed for knives that are already sharp and ready for a highly polished cutting edge. Its ultra-fine whetstone surface follows the HORL Fine and Extra Fine discs, polishing the bevel toward a mirror-like finish while taking edge refinement beyond HORL’s standard sharpening sequence.

HORL developed the surface through testing with steels across a wide range of hardness levels, including European kitchen knife steels as well as high-quality carbon and Damascus steels.

The disc uses HORL Quick Lock for tool-free changes on compatible HORL 3 sharpeners. Unlike HORL’s Black Forest-made sharpening system, the Kagami itself is made in Japan in collaboration with HORL’s manufacturing partners there, bringing a specialized final polishing stage to the HORL 3 system.

- Refine both sides of the cutting edge evenly
- Use HORL Quick Lock to remove or install the disc
- Keep the sharpening surface clean between uses
