We offer a returns policy on purchases within 30 days of the ship date. We will provide you with a return label on request, then we will deduct our shipping fees from your overall refund. When returning any items, they should be in "as new" condition in it's original packaging. Yes. They are specifically designed for home resharpening with the HORL system. For routine sharpening, HORL recommends the Ceramic honing disc.
Do I need the magnetic angle support to sharpen the scissors?
No. Three built-in contact surfaces allow each separated scissor half to stand at the correct 45° sharpening angle.
How do I separate the scissors for sharpening?
Open the scissors wide until you feel a slight resistance, move past that point, and the spring-loaded quick-release allows the two halves to separate without tools.
Can I use the HORL Diamond disc on the scissors?
The standard diamond disc can be used if the scissors have become significantly blunt, followed by the Ceramic honing disc. Do not use the Diamond Coarse disc.

- If the scissors become significantly blunt, use the standard diamond disc before the ceramic disc
- Do not use the HORL Diamond Coarse disc on the scissors
- Open the scissors fully past the slight resistance point to separate the two halves
- Place one half on its three contact surfaces to establish the built-in 45° sharpening angle
- Hold the scissor half securely while sharpening
- Use the ceramic disc along the cutting edge for approximately 30 seconds
- Reassemble the scissors and make three to five cuts in the air to remove burr
- Wipe away loose grinding particles with a cloth
- Repeat the sharpening process for the second scissor half
